FESTIVAL of BANNERS

For over 30 years, professional artists and amateur painters have come together each spring to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind, works of art in the form of street banners. These colourful, hand-painted banners are installed on special lamp posts and on important streets around Nanaimo for the public to enjoy from May to October.

The Festival of Banners became an independent festival in 2019.
