The conference centre walls are being brought to life with a new exhibit.
The Nanaimo Arts Council is presenting All About Animals in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre’s Pipers Lagoon Lobby. From now until April 4, 12 wildlife-related works by local artists will be on display. The show features paintings, photographs and sculptural pieces.
“It’s a little bit more eclectic than a show with only paintings, so we’re really inclusive and showing that this art exhibition is for a varied types of artists,” said Delie Lawley, arts council volunteer.
Later this month, Lawley will begin accepting submissions for the next lobby art show, which will focus on portraits.
